Big Bertha Pepper is a compact fast growing annual that produces huge 7" sweet bell peppers with few seeds and thick walls in 70-75 days. The crisp fruits goes from glossy deep green to deep red as it ripens, with a mild sweet taste that sweetens as it matures. Best if grown in full sun and rich, moist, acidic well-drained soils.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Water Regularly with 1-2 inches of water per week. Do not transplant deeper than previously grown. Blight, mildew, leaf spot, and mosaic virus can be issues, especially if soil is too moist or there's not good air circulation. Aphids, borers, beetles, and cutworms can be occasional issues.
