Forged In Fire False Sunflower is a compact and short-lived perennial with coarse dark green foliage.  The lengthy bloom of large fiery orange-red semi-double flowers with golden edges and dark center disks cover the foliage throughout summer into fall.  Best bloom in full sun in dry to medium well-drained soils.  Forged in Fire is mildew resistant.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:   Low maintenance.  If grown in part shade plants grow taller and require support.  Sunflowers are generally susceptible to rust, leaf fungal spots and powdery mildew.  Watch for aphids

LANDSCAPE USES:  Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Woodland Gardens, Pond or Stream Sides, Rock Gardens, and Containers.
