Chicklet Gold Trumpet Bush is a compact upright shrub with pinnate glossy dark green leaves that are a duller green underneath.  It sports soft golden trumpet-shaped flowers throughout summer until frost, attracting bees and butterflies.  Blooms best in full sun and well-drained soil.  The Chicklet series is deer, drought, and heat tolerant.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  High maintenance.  Prune in early spring before flowering.  Needs sturdy support, as the plant gets heavy.  The biggest problem is restraining the suckers to prevent self-seeding and smothering nearby plants.

LANDSCAPE USES:  Specimen or Mass Plantings, Screening, Water Gardens or Ponds, Wildlife Garden, Trellises and Walls, and Containers.
